June 15th-22nd 2019

Part Vacation and Part Intense Photographic Image Making with Prof. Janice Mehlman

Whether you want to photograph the Tuscan landscape, the architecture, its people or food, this is the perfect workshop for you. Prof. Janice Mehlman will teach you how to make magical photographs using light and shadow, color, and composition, while capturing the decisive moment to encapsulate the beauty of Tuscany.

The week will consist of photographing in and around the city and hills of Lucca, the town and beaches of Pietrasanta, as well as the famous Marble Quarries above Carrara. There will be production sessions where your photographs will be critiqued, edited, retouched and printed onto fine art paper.

This six-day workshop is designed to let you enjoy your photography, while also enjoying one of the most beautiful private Villas in the hills above Lucca. “Casa Berti” provides delicious food and luxurious accommodations, including a large artist/photo studio, and a pool to relax by after a long day behind the camera.
